What do you need from me to start?
The inputs listed under the process: site address and the authority, target capacity or a utility bill, equipment make and model, mounting or roof data, site photos or survey data, and the grid connection point. Create the project on the portal and upload them, or send them on WhatsApp and we create it for you.
How fast will I get my drawings?
US residential permit sets go out in 48 hours on Basic, 24 hours on Standard and 12 working hours on Premium. PE stamps return in 24 hours. Pre-designs take 24 to 48 hours, or 15 to 20 minutes per concept on bulk pipelines. Ground-mount, BESS, wind and biogas packages are scheduled per project when we agree the scope.
What happens if the authority rejects the set?
We revise it. Comments from an AHJ, a DISCOM or the CEIG are handled and the set is reissued. Re-stamping after AHJ comments is included with our PE service.
Can you stamp in my state?
Yes. Structural, electrical and combined PE stamps in all 50 US states, digitally signed and sealed, on our set or on one your team drew.
Do you handle CEIG and DISCOM approvals in India?
Yes. We prepare CEIG electrical approval drawings (SLD, earthing and lightning arrestor layout, equipment and GA layouts) and support the IFP portal process in Gujarat. More than 5,000 CEIG sets have been delivered across multiple DISCOMs.
Do I have to commit to a monthly volume?
No. Single US residential projects run on the Basic tier at $70 per PV design. Standard and Premium prices apply once your monthly volume reaches 50 and 100 designs. Everything else is quoted per project.
What software do you work in?
AutoCAD for drawing sets, PVsyst for generation reports, Aurora Solar and HelioScope for US proposals and shade studies, plus 3D modelling for site visuals. If you already have a project in one of these, send the file or link and we work from it.
Which file formats do I get?
PDF on every deliverable, DWG for drawing sets, PVsyst reports where included, and editable proposal files on request. Everything is downloadable from the portal.
What do the new wind and biogas practices cover?
Wind: resource data review, micro-siting and turbine layout, energy yield assessment, foundation review, collector system and substation SLD, grid connection and approval drawings, and hybridisation with solar and storage. Biogas and CBG: feedstock and gas yield, digester sizing, plant layout and P&ID, gas upgrading and dispensing, civil, electrical, safety layouts and statutory approval drawings. Both are quoted per project.
Can you take over an existing design or review a vendor's drawings?
Yes. That is the PMC practice: technical review of layouts and design packages, vendor drawing review, BOQ consistency checks, schedule tracking and support through testing and commissioning.
How does the client portal work?
Register once, create a project, upload the inputs, and watch its status move from new to in-design, review and finalised. Your assigned engineer, comments, invoices and downloads are all on the same page. WhatsApp support runs alongside.
Is Eden Solar Design the same company?
Yes. Eden Solar Design is now Eden Engineering Consultant Private Limited (EECPL): same team, same engineering standards, incorporated as a private limited company with a broader consultancy mandate that now includes energy storage, wind, biogas and project management.
